Kathy Dandurand is a recent graduate from Kaplan College, formerly the Denver Paralegal Institute, which is a ABA certified school. She has a Bachelor of Science in Biology and a minor in Chemistry from Wichita State University, located in Wichita, Kansas. Kat has worked for the Bureau of Land Management ("BLM") in Lake Havasu, Arizona, where she was a intern for the lead Wildlife Biologist. While at the BLM, she worked closely with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, the Bureau of Indian Affairs, and the Bureau of Reclamation.
Kat has also volunteered for the JASON Project, which is an educational outreach program for elementary to high school students that focuses on subjects that would not normally be taught in the traditional academic setting. She has been a judge in the state science essay contest for high school students and volunteered at the Wichita Great Plains Nature Center, a regular program called "Walk with Wildlife," that involves both parents and their children and takes them on an educational maze where they learn about various wildlife native to Kansas.
