  • Tribally-Controlled Schools Act issues, including ensuring that agreements include provisions required by the Act if the tribe is receiving funds
  • Development and drafting of school policies
  • Drafting of teacher and administration contracts
  • Ensuring compliance with the Indian Child Protection and Family Violence Prevention Act in all of the school's hiring where there may be contact with Indian children
  • Developing more stringent and tribal-specific standards and procedures to bolster the Indian Child Protection and Family Violence Prevention Act and fill gaps which it leaves in protecting Indian children
